House Bill 458 was signed into law by Governor DeWine.
Changes include a Photo ID when casting a ballot. Ohio will no longer recognize utility bills, bank statements or government checks as proof of identity. The Bureau of Motor Vehicles(BMV) is authorized to give free state id at request. Be sure to inquire what documents are needed by the BMV to prove identity.
Ballot drop boxes are limited, one per county, at the county's office, during business hours, and under video surveilance.
No early voting will be allowed on the Monday before the election.
Other changes are reductions in time to request an application to vote absentee or to "cure" a ballot if a voter had to vote provisionally.
