REGISTERING TO VOTE (Who, What, When, Where and How)  
Who Can Register to Vote?

You can register to vote if you are a U.S. Citizen, are at least 18 years old on or before the day of an election and a resident of your state, county, and precinct for at least 30 days. If you will be 18 on or before a general election, you may vote for candidates in the primary election, even if you are 17 at that time. Follow this link to get more information.

Where can you register to vote?

There are many places that you can register in person in Toledo or Lucas County. You can register at:
  • Lucas County Board of Elections 
  • Municipal buildings in Maumee, Sylvania, Oregon, Waterville, Whitehouse, Ottawa Hills or 
    the AAA on Heatherdowns 
  • University of Toledo Student Union Building 
  • Public high schools 
  • Public libraries 
  • Bureau of Motor Vehicles 
  • Voter Registration Drives. 

The completed Registration Form must be returned 30 days before an election.
