In May Justice for Migrant Women will be conducting a training series called Rural Women Run!
Running for office can be intimidating, but we need rural and migrant women serving in elected office to make policies that benefit our communities. Rural Women Run will give you concrete steps to feel prepared for that next big step. Topics will include:
· Overcoming your fear!
· Articulating your call to service
· How to raise money for your campaign
· How to turn out the vote
Each participant will walk away with a personal plan to prepare them to run - be it in the next year, in 3 years, or in a decade.

BUILDING BRIDGES TO EQUITY
The Annual YWCA Stand Against Racism Conference brings together a diverse audience of Northwest Ohio community leaders, service providers, advocates, groups, and individuals united in our mission to eliminate racism and promote justice.
The conference aims to address critical issues surrounding racism, and this year, we are honored to host Anthony Ray Hinton as our keynote speaker. Mr. Hinton‘s story of wrongful conviction and eventual exoneration after 30 years on death row is both powerful and inspiring. As the author of the New York Times Best-Seller, "The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row", his perspective is invaluable.
This is a ticketed event. Go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2024-ywca-stand-against-racism-conference-tickets-875443905287?aff=oddtdtcreator&blm_aid=53591888?
